Yes, I started a workout blog. This whole blogging thing is so fun, how could I resist? I've been trying to take pictures and video of some workouts to make it more interesting. If you want to check it out, here it is:
My attempt to emulate 8mm film. This was used in conjunction with a dance.
Last week I spent 5 days in and around New York to attend a family reunion. It was the O'Hara/Regan family reunion to exact. I met sooo many people, and the funny part was, I was related to all of them! Everyone was so nice and they definitely treated me well. It gave me a whole new appreciation for family ties and the importance of staying connected. Hope everyone had a great Independence Day!
I'm a big Lakers fan. Both sides of my family are from LA and I grew up watching Magic's showtime. Tonight's game 2 was sickening. The 3rd quarter was the worst...it looked like the Lakers didn't even want to be there.
Of course, if I had to play through officiating that BAD I wouldn't want to play either. They even got a couple calls go their way in the few remaining minutes and that made me even more frustrated. Are the refs that horrible? I don't even hear people talking about the players anymore...the refs have claimed the spotlight.
Paul Pierce's James Brown impersonation in Game 1 is the perfect illustration for how fake the NBA seems now. Are the players really faking injuries now? The Celtics and Lakers seem very evenly matched, and it would be a great game without all these dramatics and horrible calls. Too bad for us, it's going back to LA and the calls are going to be just as bad. At least they'll be in favor of my team now.
The first time I used Adobe After Effects (think Photoshop for video) for a wedding was the introduction for Noel and Melissa's wedding. The software just blew me away, so I used it for my next wedding, which happened to be Blaine and Shanni's. They liked it so much, they entered it into a contest on theknot.com and it actually made it to the finals! The intro portion of the video has become one of the most enjoyable parts for me to make, because it allows me to really stretch my imagination and try new, exciting things.
The band is called Goodbye Tomorrow.
The song is called "Tragedienne"
I was the DP and editor, what an experience this was!
We shot this in October of 2006.
